For Tweens and TeensMoniteau County Library @ Wood Place has a variety of materials, resources and programs for our teen & tween patrons. Programming for Teens and Tweens:
Tweens are encouraged to attend special programming on 5 Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. Tweens receive a $1 ticket for attending. The schedule and subjects for the programming are:
The goal of the library in sponsoring this program is to promote literacy. MOREnet Databases: Subscription Resources are only available on library computers.
Collections:Print Collection: The library has a wide variety of fiction books appropriate for middle and high school youth. These include classic authors, popular titles and a variety of genres. The non-fiction titles support homework assignments and general interests. We also have the 2013-2014 TRUMAN and GATEWAY Award Nominated books available in the Young Adult section of the library. Missouri School Librarians have nominated these books for students to read and vote for their favorite in March 2014. Media Collection: Titles of interest to youth in CD, DVD and VHS formats are housed in the general media collection.
